Summer Camps Available for Burnett County Youth

Summer camp season is here!  Burnett County UW-Extension is offering three 4-H camps open to all county youth.  Youth DO NOT need to be enrolled in 4-H to attend!  The youngest campers, in grades K-2, are invited to 4-H Cloverbud Day Camp on July 11 at Lake 26, Danbury.  Older youth, ages 8-11, may attend 4-H summer camp from July 11-14 at Lake 26 and/or Washburn County’s UW-Extension’s Youth Camp from August 2-4 at Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary, Sarona.  Washburn County’s 4-H summer camp is open to youth ages 8-13.

This year, Burnett County Lakes & Rivers Association (BCLRA) has donated money to help families pay for 4-H environmental education/stewardship camps.  These scholarships may be used for any of the above three camps.  All Burnett County youth, both permanent and summer residents, are eligible to apply.  Campers may apply for up to half of the family’s cost to attend camp.
